ESSA Sports Performance

Val Barnaby started ESSA solely on the notion, “Live in the moment and work for your future.” He understands what it takes to get to the next level and go beyond your “potential” because we all know “potential” will take you only so far.

Today’s athletes must be groomed for adversity on and off the field. Obstacles and challenges in everyday life can be as daunting as those on the athletic field or court. It is Val’s mission to help today’s student athlete be tomorrow’s successful adult.

We want to increase your explosiveness through a variety of strength exercises and plyometrics.

S = Strength
We know that every athlete wants to be bigger, faster, stronger. Our strength program focuses on every sport. Each sport has its own specific strength program where the results are proven.

S = Speed
We approach increased speed by increasing strength and flexibility.

A = Agility
Every athlete needs agility, no matter the sport, no matter the playing surface. Understanding how to change direction, alter your balance, use your core, channel your strength, and maximize your flexibility is what defines your performance.
